Savings Potential: Printing Costs at Many Companies are too High

New, manufacturer-independent analysis tool from SEH reveals opportunities for printer optimization and reduced costs
Bielefeld, German, June 8, 2011 - Printing can be expensive. But many companies often do not know about the printing costs incurred in their daily operation. Therefore, SEH has developed "SEH Analytics“ – a manufacturer-independent analysis tool, which helps keeping printing costs in sight.
"Printing is associated with several direct and indirect costs, which many companies are not aware of. As a result, savings and optimization potentials remain untapped and it turns out that the printing costs are eventually much too high," explains Joachim Sturmhoefel, Managing Director of SEH.
This is where the new analysis tool from SEH can help. SEH Analytics (www.seh-analytics.com) enables cost and utilization control to companies by providing printer fleet reporting. Here, the activities of all corporate network printers and multifunction devices can be evaluated based on defined parameters, regardless of quantity, type or manufacturer. The analysis tool provides comprehensive statistics on utilization, status, and costs incurred by the entire printer pool.
With the notification feature of "SEH Analytics" the responsible employee within the company can be notified of certain printer status events via email. For example, when the toner is running low or a maintenance interval occurs. In this way, optimal utilization can be achieved. Problems such as blank print runs or jams can be avoided.
The feature set of "SEH Analytics" has a simple configuration interface for printer management and a backup. In addition the SEH support hotline available answer any questions and provide further details. Companies can gain a first impression of „SEH Analytics“ with a thirty day trial version, which can be downloaded from http://www.seh-analytics.com/downloadorder.html.
