Tech?Update!: Updating whole Installations with a few Mouse Clicks

About twice a year SEH provides customers with free firmware updates for their print servers, delivering extended protocol support, additional functionality, or else.

To minimise the administrators' work upon installing the new firmware and features, the InterCon NetTool offers the option to update several print servers simultaneously, the advantage being that print servers do not need to be updated one at a time - a very time consuming procedure - but can be updated in groups and with just a few mouse clicks. Considerable time and cost savings may be achieved, particularly in large scale networks with many printers.

Pre-condition for a simultaneous update is that the respective firmware files have been copied to a single, central directory. Following this all print servers to be updated are selected and the update is started with one single mouse click once the password has been entered. In print server groups containing various models, each print server automatically chooses and downloads the correct file.
